- About Deafness Foundation
Deafness Foundation was established in 1973 to act as an umbrella organisation, forum and information exchange and speak with a united voice for the deaf and hard of hearing in the community. We provide information about hearing loss and provide support to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing on a broad range of issues. Deafness Foundation is the lead organisation of Hearing Awareness Week ™ and aims to raise awareness of the impact of hearing loss and reduce isolation through more inclusive approaches for people living with deafness and hearing loss. Deafness Foundation partners with like-minded organisations, universities, and institutions to conduct research and support the community.
