Glaucoma Australia has facilitated the allocation of $934, 527 to a broad range of research projects related to eye health via external partnership grants to improve glaucoma treatments and preserve eye-sight.
Sadly, 50% of people with glaucoma are unaware they have it and could be suffering irreversible but preventable blindness. Our ongoing national risk awareness campaigns prompt all Australians over 50 and those at highest risk to visit the optometrist every two years for a comprehensive eye exam.
