As a leader in the provision of Guide Dogs and Mobility Services, Guide Dogs Queensland is dedicated to ensuring people with low or no vision have access to the services they need. We rely on the support of the community to help fund our vital services, including our iconic Guide Dogs so that vision-impaired Queenslanders can live with independence, mobility, and freedom. The demand for our service is continually growing as the incidence of vision impairment increases, and we deliver by assisting people of all ages with our wide range of aids. All programs and services are tailored to match the needs and lifestyles of each individual, with most training delivered locally in the person’s home, community or work environment.

It takes 2 years and costs $50,000 to breed, raise and train each one of our gorgeous Guide Dogs. But the companionship and independence they provide is priceless. A Guide Dog helps their handler navigate the world and continue doing things like going to the shops, getting to work and moving through crowds safely and independently.
Finding out your child is blind or has vision loss can be scary and overwhelming. Guide Dogs Team are here to walk alongside you, your family and your child as they grow into adulthood.
