Save the Children has been working in Australia for almost 100 years with the aim of making sure all Australian children have the capabilities, connections and confidence for success in their future, regardless of their background, location or circumstances. 

Young people are creative, brave and full of bright ideas. But for many children in Australia childhood can be tough. Some find it hard to connect with the traditional education system. Others get mixed up with the law and done get the support they need to get back on track. And sadly, there are those who are faced with violence in their own homes. 

That’s why our Australian programs use a range of evidence informed programs and   practices that focus on three outcomes;

•    Children and young people are engaged in learning and are developmentally on track

•    Families and caregivers provide safe and supportive environments 

•    Communities are strong, connected and safe for children and young people. 

Through our work we create long term, positive change for children and families experiencing complex challenges. We’ll do whatever it takes to keep kids safe, on track and with bright futures ahead.
